SOUTH PALM BEACH, Fla. – Max Gass, 90, formerly of Bangor, died Nov. 28, 2006. Max had owned Penobscot Auto Co., Orono, and served as president of the governor’s auto dealer’s board. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Rena, of South Palm Beach, Fla.; and daughters, Sandra Schiff of Connecticut and Carole Gass of New York. His granddaughters, Karen Schiff and Deborah Schiff Morelli, along with numerous family and friends, will miss his gentle, caring ways. A graveside funeral was held Nov. 30, in Florida.
