CARIBOU – Nellie B. Labbe, 83, died peacefully Aug. 31, 2005, at a Caribou healthcare facility, after an extended illness. She was born June 20, 1922, in Limestone, the daughter of Hollis “Jack” and Gladys (Carson) Bolstridge. She educated in the Limestone school system. Nellie was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Lister-Knowlton Post No. 9389 VFW. Nellie loved to crochet, work on jigsaw puzzles, play games and visit with family and friends. She was a favorite resident of the nursing staff at the Caribou Nursing Home. The family is grateful to them for all they did to make her last days comfortable. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Annette (Day) Labbe of St. Agatha and Frank Labbe of Caribou; two sisters, Pearline Rowe and her husband, William, of Sangerville, and Joyce Ellingwood and her husband, Leon, of Middleton, N.H; two grandchildren, Haley and Christopher Labbe, both of St. Agatha. She was predeceased by her husband, Adrien Labbe Dec. 14, 1972; an infant daughter, Pamela Labbe, in 1951; one brother, Hollis Bolstridge; and by one sister, Louise Duff, in 2005. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with evening prayer services being held at 7 p.m., by the officers and members of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
