JONESPORT – Nina F. Alley, 84, wife of the late Fletcher M. Alley, passed to her eternal life Saturday, April 30, 2005, at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Jonesport, the daughter of Nelson F. and Agnes B. (Lawson) Alley. Nina was employed by the Resthaven Nursing Home in Jonesport for several years as a CNA/CMA. She was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Indian River Grange, and the Machias Valley Senior Citizens. Nina is survived by nephew, Vernon Robinson Sr. and his wife, Elva, and their son, Elliot, all of Harrington; nephew, Alan Norton, of Connecticut;x stepson, Dean McGray and his wife, Jane, of Addison; stepgranddaughter, Anita McGray, also of Addison; sister-in-law, Florence Serpico, and her children, Margaret and Tony; special friends, Mina, Laura, Ruth, Lucile, Merton, George, Horace, and many more; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Worcester, in 1969; sisters, Flora Robinson, Eleanor Higgins, and Marion Rogers; a brother, Rufus Norton; special niece, Sharon; and a nephew, Leland Robinson. The family would like thank the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital staff and the Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility staff for their thoughtful and attentive care. A graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, Greenwood Cemetery in Jonesport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nina’s name to your favorite charity. Arrangements are by Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
