GLENBURN – Patricia B. Brasslett, 65, passed away May 16, 2008, surrounded by her loving family at home, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Patricia was born Dec. 19, 1942, in Brownwood, Texas, to Warren Strout and Priscilla Trask. Patty was raised in Bradford by her loving grandparents, Leigh and Stella Strout. She attended Bradford schools and graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in 1961. Patty was a very caring, giving person, whose main focus was home and family. She is survived by four sons and spouses, Derrick and Barbara of Penacook, N.H., Daniel and Lisa of Bradford, Aaron and Robin of Bangor and Jeremy and Robin of Levant; six grandchildren, Meredith and Daniel of New Hampshire, Desiree and husband, Shaun, of Corinth, Tara of Bradford, Katherine of Bangor and Julia of Levant; her companion, Glen MacDougal, who, along with daughter-in-law, Lisa, gave or obtained the kind of care enabling her to remain at home during her illness. She leaves two very special aunts, Eileen Ross of Newburgh, who was more like a sister and Lorraine Welch of Veazie. She is also survived by her mother of Bangor, and father and stepmother of Bradford, along with three half brothers and seven half sisters, plus several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by grandparents, Lester and Beatrice Ross, who were very special to her, and Leigh and Stella Strout; half brother, Teddy Strout; several aunts and uncles. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Bradford Baptist Church with Paster David Lassell officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery, Bradford, at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Bangor Homeless Shelter. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives.
