BANGOR and BREWER – Patricia S. Grant, 85, went to be with her Lord, Nov. 14, 2004, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born April 14, 1919, in Brewer, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Woollacott) Smith. Patricia graduated from Brewer High School in 1936. Pat worked as a bookkeeper for the Abnaki Girl Scout Council before her retirement. She loved to play bridge and was a member of the A.C.B.L., the 1st Congregational Church of Brewer, and the Kings Daughters. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Grant) Kwiatkowsky of Glenburn; two grandsons and their wives, Brock and Denise Kwiatkowsky of Marietta, Ga., Colt and Carol Kwiatkowsky of Brewer; two great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Zane Kwiatkowsky of Marietta, Ga.; three nieces, Rachel Stocker of Green River, Wyo., Sharon Brimmer of Penn Run, Pa., Brenda Cheney of Bangor; and one nephew, Dick Glaster of Belgrade; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by four sisters, Marcia Smith, Adele Smith, Marion Glaster, Dorothy Norman; and her brother, Donald Smith. Pat’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Eastside Rehabilitation and Living Center for their loving care throughout her illness. Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the interment.
