ADDISON – Richard “Dick” W. Ryan Sr., 81, passed away July 3, 2007, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth, after an extended illness. He was born April 23, 1926, in Bangor, the son of the late John and Verna (McCosker) Ryan. Dick enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping and boating. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Albertina “Tina” Ryan; children, Edna Curtis and companion, Mike Curtis, of Harrington, Sherry Gaddis and fianc?, Earl Sprague, of Whiting, Richard Ryan Jr. and wife, Corinna, of Franklin, Michael Ryan and wife, and James Ryan and wife, all of Colorado, Barbara Modery and husband, Richard, Karen Cole and husband, Steven, Linda Avery and husband, Bob, Cindy Spearing and husband, Ralph, and Timothy Ryan and their families, all of Bangor; grandchildren, Jessica Verna Faulkingham, Ethan and Evan Bryant, Christopher Weaver and Katlyn Ryan, and Richard “Ricky” Ryan III; several great-grandchildren; and special friends, Joy Neil of Colorado, and Martin Ferrick of Addison. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Ryan; and sister, Barbara Ryan. Visiting hours will take place 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
