SOLDIER POND – Robert C. Wishart, 50, died July 5, 2007, at his residence. He was born Oct. 20, 1956, in Waterville, the son of Charles and Marilyn (Hews) Wishart. Robert worked as a machine operator 27 years for Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. He came to be called Wishie and or Wishbone by his family, friends and co-workers. He loved the outdoors having owned and operated a rental business, Canoes-R-Us, for 12 years. He was an avid ATV rider, hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father and son, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as always willing to lend a helping hand to all who knew him. In addition to both his parents of Presque Isle, Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Dayna (James) Wishart of Soldier Pond; two sons, Ryan Charles Wishart and special friend, Jessica Chapman, both of Woodland, and Shane Michael Wishart of Soldier Pond; one sister, Susan and her husband, Dr. Richard Fishbein; two nieces, Emily and Rachel Fishbein, all of Mountain Top, Pa.; grandmother, Velma Lundbeck of Clinton; his mother-in-law, Janet Durgin of Squapan Lake; and father-in-law, Edward C. James of Dayton, Ohio; his sister and brother-in-law, Jondalyn and Timothy Brewer; niece, Ashley Brewer, all of Marshill; one brother-in-law, Chuck James of Martinez, Calif.; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, John Lundbeck; and stepfather-in-law, Edward Durgin, in 2004. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Congregational Church, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Grove Markwood officiating.
