LINCOLN – Victoria U. Chandler, 79, wife of Roland L. Chandler Sr., died Aug. 14, 2005, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born May 27, 1926, in Lincoln, the daughter of William and Uldine (Lane) Milner. Mrs. Chandler was a member of the Lincoln Center Baptist Church, and at one time was a member of the Grange. She enjoyed reading and camping and she loved her home. She dearly loved her grandchildren and she helped raise them all. In addition to her husband, Roland, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Roland L. Chandler Jr. and Brenda, and Dayne Chandler and Lisa; and a daughter, Penny Darr and Thomas, all of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Roland Chandler III and his wife, Tammy, Eric Chandler and his wife, Sherri, Emily Darr, Matthew Darr and Joshua Chandler; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Patchell, Shayna Chandler, Paige Chandler and Nicole Chandler; a sister, Waneta Dicker of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Sonny Milner. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor William Bewell officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
