FORT FAIRFIELD, SINCLAIR and PRESQUE ISLE – Yvonne V. Beckett, 78, died Thursday evening, Dec. 15, 2005, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 15, 1927, at Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Otis L. and Louise (Martin) Morrow. Yvonne was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1944, and was a resident of Fort Fairfield for many years where she was a communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church. Yvonne also resided in Sinclair for 25 years, where she attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Senior Citizen Club of Sinclair. Yvonne relocated to Lakeland, Fla. in the winter months and attended the St. Anthony Catholic Church. Yvonne was an enthusiastic and successful district sales manager for Avon serving from Augusta to Fort Kent and had as many as 120 women working under her, an accomplishment that she was proud of through her entire life. Yvonne will be remembered as a wonderful person who was fully devoted to her family. In addition to her parents, Yvonne was predeceased by six brothers, Preston, Philip “Donald,” Otis, Norman, Frederick Sr. and Archie Morrow; three sisters, Sr. Mabel Morrow, Adeline Morrow and infant sister to Martin, Marie Morrow. Yvonne is survived by one brother, Martin Morrow of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Rita Paradis of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews, including caregiver, Mike Paradis and his wife, Kristi and their son, Chandler, all of Presque Isle. Yvonne will be dearly remembered by a special friend, Phyllis Parks. The family extends a sincere thank you to Dr. Jay Reynolds for all of his concern and care. Jean-Paul Labrie celebrant. A time of fellowship will be held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the funeral Mass. Spring interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
