FORT KENT – Mary G. Raymond, 69, the wife of Alsime “Babe” Raymond, died Oct. 17, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born March 1, 1939, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Madis and Obeline (Pelletier) Marin. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo and gathering on Sunday to play cards and games. She is survived by her husband, Alsime “Babe” of Fort Kent; her children and their spouses, Jeanette and Bobby Michaud, Linda and Roland Jandreau, Judy and Jim Chasse, Patsy and Herb Albert, Nancy and Joshua Golembesky, Gary and Gail Raymond, Paige “Lisa” and Dean Pearson, Mona and Mike McCormick, and Donna and Elmer Thibodeau; and one brother, Norman and Vern Marin of Connecticut. She was adored by her grandchildren, Brandon, Bradley, Michael, Kevin, Whitney, Christopher, Derrick, Natasha, Zeke, Gryphon, Hunter and Shayne. She was predeceased by one son, Steve Raymond; and one brother, Louis Marin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at St. Luce Catholic Church, Frenchville. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Committal services will be afterward at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Kent. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the Mary G. Raymond Funeral Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church. Funeral services are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
