ELEANOR M. CROSS

BREWER – Eleanor M. Cross, 79, died Oct. 19, 2008, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. She was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Danforth, the daughter of Ollie and Lucinda (Kinney) Walsh. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Everett Cross of Brewer; three daughters, Melvena of Hancock, Ruth of Corinth and Christina of Texas; five sons, Pastor Lee Cross of Alexandria, Kenneth of Florida, Whitney of Pennsylvania, Mark of Brewer and Raymond of Florida; three sisters, Nina Bowden of Brewer, Nancy Drake and Ruth Cole, both of Hermon; four brothers, Earl Walsh of Florida, Maurice Kinney of Howland, Richard Walsh of Florida and Charles Hanson of Vermont; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Whitney Hanson; son, Merrill D. Cross; and brother, Dennis Walsh. A service of remembrance will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Glad Tidings Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Marcel R. Daigle, pastor of Christian Ridge Church of Ellsworth, officiating.
