HOULTON – Thomas G. Devoe, 74, died Oct. 19, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1933, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, the son of Michael and Ellen (Awin) Deveau. Thomas was a member of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church and Houlton Band of Maliseets. He was employed by Mooers Co., McKay Rock Products, Bangor & Aroostook Railroad and Mapley Packing Co. Thomas is survived by two sons, James Sacobie and Frankie Massey; six daughters, Nora J. Sacobie, Gail M. Sacobie, Berty (Sacobie) Jackins, Bernetta Deveau, Patricia Deveau and Susan Deveau; his second family, Patricia Paul, Katherine Paul, Elain Paul, Annette Paul and Elizabeth Paul; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Bertha Deveau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with the Rev. David Raymond, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
