OLD TOWN – William “Bill” A. Costain Sr. departed from this life to his eternal home Dec. 12, 2008, with his family at his side, after an eight-year struggle with failing health. Bill was born June 7, 1943, in Old Town, the son of Harlie Costain and Edith (Wickett) Buchanan. Bill graduated from Old Town High School in 1962, was vice president of Amps & Reels Club and a member of Future Farmers of America Club. He then lived in Morgantown, W.Va., for 10 years, driving for Coastal Tank Lines and Fibair, Inc. He moved back to Old Town in 1987 to care for his stepfather and mother. While working for Roy Brothers, Old Town, as an oil burner technician, he obtained his master’s license. He then began his own business, B&W Heating, but was later forced to close the business due to failing health. Bill’s mission in life was to be a help to those in need. He was a great supporter of and worker for his church. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and their families.
