CARIBOU – Kenneth J. Pelletier, 52, died Feb. 27, 2009, in Caribou, after a brief illness. He was born June 19, 1956, in Caribou, the son of Raymond and Blanche (Gagnon) Pelletier. He was a 1976 graduate of Caribou High School. After high school he served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Raleigh. After his naval service Kenneth attended Northern Maine Technical College, where he graduated with his electrical degree in 1997. He was then employed as an electrician at Bath Iron Works for more than 11 years. Mr. Pelletier also served with the 152nd Field Artillery, Maine Army National Guard, for more than 20 years, retiring as a sergeant. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his mother, Blanche of Caribou, are five brothers and a sister-in-law, Joe “Bennett” Pelletier, Bryan Pelletier, Michael Pelletier, Gregory Pelletier and his wife, Jeanne, and Mark Pelletier, all of Caribou; many cousins, aunts and uncles; as well as a special niece, Jasmine Kirchner. Kenneth was predeceased by his father in 2000. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday, March 2, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
