PITTSFIELD – Rodney E. Bane, 65, passed away May 5, 2009, near his home in Pittsfield. He was born March 9, 1944, in Hartland, a son of Linwood and Winifred (Ham) Bane. Rodney attended Pittsfield schools, including Maine Central Institute. On May 19, 1962, he married Eloise Reynolds. He started out working on the family farm and in the woods at a young age. Rod was a born again believer and he has made a new home in heaven. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ our Lord.” Romans 8:38, 39. Nothing, including ourselves, can separate us from his eternal love. In addition to his mother and wife, both of Pittsfield, he is survived by two daughters, Mona and husband, Scott Tedesco, of Newport, and Linda “Beana” Bane of Pittsfield; a son, Rodney “Bub” Bane Jr. and wife, Dori, of Oakland; a brother, Brian and wife, Sharon Bane, of Canaan; a sister, Joyce and husband, Burley Holt, of Burnham; grandchildren, Matthew Tedesco and friend, Ashley Dorr and their little one, Ayden MacKenzie Dorr, Jennifer Tedesco and friend, Samuel Schaeffer, Kylie Loise Bane and Nicole Molly Bane; several special nieces and nephews; special friends, Brian King, Paul West, Joe and Jason Humphrey, and Pastor Al Thibault; his dog, Bear; and seven cats.
