WHITEFIELD – Doris E. (Colby) Miete, 91, passed away May 20, 2009, at Country Manor Nursing Home, Coopers Mills, with family by her side. She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Somerville, the first child of Chester and Marieta Kennedy Colby. There will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
