LINNEUS – Raymond Rousseau, 87, died July 22, 2009. He was born June 23, 1922, in Metheun, Mass., the son of William and Orise (Allie) Rousseau. Raymond served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Ray’s hobbies were restoring anything, especially Model T’s. He opened Linneus Convenience Store. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Whitten) Rousseau of Linneus; four children, Jean and her husband, Steve Chabot, of Linneus, Nancy Blackden of Yreka, Calif., William and his wife, Gayle Rousseau, of Metheun, Mass., and Richard and his wife, Whitney Rousseau, of Biddeford; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton, with Father David Raymond, celebrant. Interment will be at Linneus Cemetery.
