CHELSEA and BUCKSPORT – Sadly, Judith L. Redman, 67, of 26 Gilbert Drive, died unexpectedly, July 29, 2009, at her home. She was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Milford, Conn., the daughter of Philip Stanley and Nathalie (Gile) Luce. Judith was a 1959 graduate of Walter Gardner High School, Bucksport. She also graduated from Golden School of Beauty Culture in 1960, received her National Paralegal Certificate in 1985, and attended Williams School of Trust in 2004. Before her retirement in 2006, Judy spent 15 years as the vice president of Bath Savings Trust Co. Since her retirement she continued to deepen her interest in gardening and genealogy. She was intensely devoted to her husband, her children, her grandchildren, family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Mrs. Redman is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rodman E. Redman of Chelsea; their two children, Darren L. Redman and his wife, Stacey, of New Hampton, N.H., and their three children, and Yvette L. Gross and her husband, David, of Mandeville, La., and their son; two sisters, Kristina M. Gallant and her husband, Kenneth, of Sartelle, Minn., and their two children, and Leanne L. McLean and her husband, Rod, of Orrington and their daughter. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at Randolph United Methodist Church, 1 Asbury St., Randolph. The family gratefully declines the gesture of flowers and instead requests donations in memory of Judith be made to Hancock County Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, care of University of Maine, Two Alumni Place, Orono, ME 04469, which awards scholarships to students who are graduates of a Hancock County high school who have either demonstrated financial need or a high academic standing.
