FORT KENT – Patrick Raymond, 69, died peacefully Aug. 30, 2009, surrounded by his family at a Fort Kent health care facility, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Daigle, the son of Wilfrid and Leda (Caron) Raymond. He was a kind, humble man, who enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was hunting. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Bonita (Theriault) Raymond of Fort Kent; seven children, Gary and his wife, Renee, of Winslow, Glenn and his fiancee, Chrissy, of Caribou, Wayne and his wife, Donna, of Presque Isle, Wendy and her husband, Michael Vaillancourt, of Fort Kent, Steve and his wife, Kim, of Hermon, Brian and his wife, Kendra, of Hermon, and Jeffrey and his wife, Deidre, of Washington, D.C.; 13 grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Rebekkah, Zachary, Mason, Kaylyn, Nathan, Kent, Neily, Nolan, Kristany, Nora and Ronan; one sister, Doris and her husband, Jacques Nadeau, of St. Haliare, New Brunswick; six brothers, Clifford and his wife, Marie Mae, of Troy, N.Y., Maurice and his wife, Charmayne, of Clifton Park, N.Y., Gallant and his wife, Marie, of Madawaska, Roland and his wife, Louise, of Bourne, Mass., Real and his wife, Geraldine, of Fort Kent, and James of St. Agatha; his loving mother-in-law, Mamie Theriault of Fort Kent; sister-in-law, Ruth and her husband, Magella Bouchard, of Fort Kent; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Irma Raymond; and father-in-law, Jessie Theriault. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be after at the parish cemetery.
