DEXTER and OLD TOWN – Susan E. Emery, 55, died unexpectedly Aug. 30, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 4, 1954, in Dexter, a daughter of Clayton and Vivian (Parker) Ambrose. Susan worked as a caregiver and loved children, especially her grandchildren. She liked playing Beano, playing cards, singing karaoke, shopping and cooking. Susan especially enjoyed her new home. In addition to her mother, Vivian Perkins of Corinth; and stepmother, Lillie Ambrose of Sangerville, she is survived by her husband of 38 years, Chuck Emery of Old Town; four sons, Trey and fiancee, Michelle, of Old Town, Robbie and fiancee, Melissa, of Lamoine, Chad of Pittsburgh, and Ricky and Marcy of Howland; four sisters, Estelle and husband, Monty Rowe, of Corinth, Julie Washington of Dexter, Lisa and husband, Joel Pelletier, of Passadumkeag, and Mary and Ron Sweet Jr. of Exeter; eight grandchildren; aunt, Maureen Cyr of Howland; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dog, Bear. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter, where friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist the family in care of the funeral home.
