HAMPDEN – Bobbie W. Daigle, 76, passed away Jan. 4, 2010, at her home. Bobbie was born May 1, 1933, in Ideal, Ga., daughter of the late John and Wilma Calhoun. Bobbie grew up in Georgia before moving to Hampden where she lived for many years. Bobbie married her husband, Everett, and started raising their family. She was an exceptional homemaker, always making sure you had plenty to eat and their home on Hermon Pond was just so. She and Everett spent many winters in Florida where they made many close friends. She enjoyed square dancing, music, and singing of all kinds, but most of all enjoyed being around people. Bobbie will be remembered as a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Everett L. Daigle; sons, Michael L. Daigle and wife, Marilyn, and Eric E. Daigle; daughter, Lori M. Daigle and fiance, Bill LaMantia; grandchildren, Kristina Daigle Bennett and husband, Gabriel, Hannah Oblinger, Sophie Daigle and Walker Daigle; as well as many close friends too numerous to mention. In keeping with Bobbie’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A private graveside service will be held in the spring in the family lot at Lucy Pooler Cemetery, Indian Island. Memorial contributions in Bobbie’s honor may be made to the American Lung Association, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. Messages of condolence and memories may be shared through www.hampdengilpatrick.com.
