HOULTON – Donna (Sanford) White Burpee, 58, went to be with her Lord Jan. 4, 2010. She was born July 28, 1951, in Island Falls, the daughter of Austin and Dora (Emery) Sanford. Donna really enjoyed being with her family and friends, crocheting, knitting and plastic canvas. Most of all she enjoyed all kids. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Alton “Tunk” Burpee; one daughter, Geraldine Burpee of Houlton; one sister, Della Bossie of New Limerick; brothers, Wayne and Vada Sanford of Island Falls, Owen Sanford of Bangor, Mark and Kathy Sanford of Texas; a special niece, Wendy Shaw and her husband, Wayne; very special nephews, Dustin and Walker Shaw, Matthew Sanford, and Joseph, Kyle and Weldon Willette; many other nieces, nephews and friends; and a very special “gram,” Awilda Williams. She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Albert and George Sanford. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, Monticello, with Darrell Williams officiating.
