GREENVILLE – John L. Boynton, 55, passed away Sept. 14, 2010. He was born June 14, 1955, in Fairbanks, Alaska, son of Ernest H. Boynton and the late Florence (Hiller) Boynton. John was an Eagle Scout and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a white water rafting instructor, and enjoyed the outdoors and skiing. John is survived by his father, Ernest H. Boynton and his wife, Sandra, of Hampden; two children, Norita Boynton of Portland and Jonathan Boynton of Greenville and a student at the University of Maine at Farmington; his siblings, Deborah A. Ash and her husband, Greg, of Fort Myers, Fla., David C. Boynton of Mexico, Maine, and Beth A. Wright and her husband, Michael, of Eagle, Colo.; and his former wife, Cynthia McNinch of Greenville. At John’s request, there will be no formal services.
