CARIBOU – Lorraine McCrossin, 79, wife of the late Joseph McCrossin Sr., died unexpectedly Nov. 8, 2010, in Caribou. She was born Feb. 12, 1931, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Stephen and Florilda (Berube) Levesque. Mrs. McCrossin was employed at Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion for many years as the bartender. She was a member of Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and a member of Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Lister-Knowlton Post No. 9389 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Kelly McCrossin Jr. of Berwick, and Mark and Donna McCrossin of Caribou; a daughter, Debbie Scheid and her fiance, Mark Gregory, of Dedham; one brother, Maurice Levesque and his wife, Joan, of Little Madawaska Lake; two sisters, Lorretta Boucher of Waterbury, Conn., and Martha Morin of Caribou; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by a son, Scott McCrossin. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Aaron Damboise officiating in a Mass of Christian burial.
