CARIBOU – Clairmond J. Belanger, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jan. 25, 2011, in Caribou. He was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Caribou, son of the late Amos and Annie (Cyr) Belanger. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and he married Pearl Bell Oct. 23, 1942. Mr. Belanger was a retired auto mechanic having been employed at Caribou Ford Motor Co. for many years. He was a longtime member of Christian Life Assembly, Presque Isle, and in later years attended Abundant Life Mission. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 68 years, Pearl of Caribou, are four daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and David Soucier, Donna and Raymond Doucette, all of Caribou, Brenda and Loren Sperrey of Bedford, Mass., and Carol and Rhonello Bell of Washburn; one son and daughter-in-law, Clair and Tanya Belanger of Caribou; one sister, Edna Weed of Arizona; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Belanger was predeceased by a daughter, Clarice Johnston; numerous brothers and sisters. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, from the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Bell officiating.
