BREWER – Virginia Ruth Prescott, 79, died Feb. 10, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1931, in Brewer, the daughter of Charles W. and Edith I. (Armour) Prescott.
Virginia graduated from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute with a licensed practical nurse degree in 1973, and she worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center for many years. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Virginia loved sharing her faith with others. She had done this for more than 40 years, even right up until the time of her death. She also loved reading more than any other hobby. Virginia was always a very positive and upbeat person and she never complained. Anyone who visited her was always more encouraged when they left.
She was predeceased by her parents; and one aunt, Ruth Cobb.
