ELLSWORTH – Richard M. Webber, 63, passed away suddenly March 5, 2011, with his one true love by his side at home. He was born Feb. 15, 1948, in Bath, the son of Richard E. and Audrey (Whalen) Webber.
He was a pipe fitter and worked for many years at Bath Iron Works. Richard loved his family and would do anything he could for anyone. He greatly enjoyed camping at Timberland in his new camper and enjoyed the friendship of Chip and Carol, Gil and Nancy, David and Brenda, Chet and Lillian, Jim and Cathy. He loved NASCAR and football. He loved dogs and will be sorely missed by his canine friends, Dempsey and Tater. He was known as the “dog whisperer.” He also enjoyed playing poker, hunting and fishing. Other special friends that will greatly miss Richard are Dan and Mae, and Al and Lori. Richard was a member of Ellsworth Elks Club.
He is survived by the love of his life, Polly Young; sons, Eugene Webber and wife Brenda, and Billy Webber and wife, Marny; daughters, Audrey Reed, Jodi King and husband, Travis, Vanessa “Pooh” Young and Lisa Bubel; grandchildren, Chanelle, Scotty, Taylor, Morgan, T.J., Riley, Eli, Zach, Jaymee, Harlee, Rebekah, and Sue; brothers, Philip Webber and Cecil Webber; sister, Pam Wentworth; and thoughtful ex-wife, Gale. He was predeceased by his parents; brother-in-law, Kermit Wentworth; his dog, Buddy.
