MILLINOCKET and BANGOR – Randy Scott Walsh, 60, died April 16, 2011, in Bangor. Randy passed away while golfing. Randy was born June 13, 1950, in Millinocket.
He was an avid golfer, and next to spending time with his grandkids, it was what made him the happiest. Randy served his country as a U.S. Marine, and was employed at Great Northern Paper until 2008. Since that time his days were spent golfing and enjoying his family. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Erika Baker and husband, Al, of Bangor; his son, Justin Walsh and wife, Stephanie, of Portland; his son, Shane Walsh of Bangor; grandchildren, Evan, Chayce, McKenna, Madison and Dylan; the mother of his children, Jean Walsh of Bangor; his sister, Elaine Mott and husband, Ralph; his brother, Richard Walsh and wife, June; his brother, Monty Walsh and wife, Penny, all of Millinocket; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Walsh; and brother, Noel Walsh.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at First Friends Childcare, 153 State St., Brewer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Rob Jarvis, PGA, 278 Webster Ave., Bangor, ME 04401. All donations will help finance Bangor Municipal Golf Course’s ongoing golf program enriching the children of Ellsworth KidsPeace program.
