My Mammy

Why couldn’t I have more time? I can’t stand the thought of not having you around, for you are at peace now, safe and sound.

I cry because I miss you, I am selfish because I want you home, is it going to be different? Am I going to feel alone? I will continue to do good by you, making you proud, I hope you see me, looking down from that cloud. You are where you want to be now, far from bound, I’ll try not to cry anymore, for you are found. I hope it’s what you are looking for, I hope it’s what you needed, I miss you Mammy, you better believe it! For you are my Mammy, so very important to me. We all love you and miss you,

our dearest Gaylee.
