NEWPORT and RYE, N.H. – Marjorie T. Lind, 78, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at a Bangor health care facility after a long illness. Marjorie was born July 4, 1933, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Aldus and Reta (Donaldson) Trowbridge.
She graduated from Needham High School and Mount Ida College, both in Massachusetts. She was a medical secretary at a doctor’s office in Massachusetts for several years. She married Russell Lind Sept. 15, 1956, in Needham, Mass. Marjorie and Russell made their home in Rye, N.H., for more than 40 years. He predeceased her Feb. 21, 2011. Marjorie loved to travel with her family but always was glad to return to her home. She especially loved spending time at the family cottage in Harpswell. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling.
Marjorie is survived by her loving daughter, Dianne Lind of Newport; her twin brother and his wife, Robert and Betty Trowbridge of Agawam, Mass.; and one nephew, Jeff Trowbridge of West Milford, N.J.
She was predeceased by nephew, Doug Trowbridge.
